Description of the role: The WASH Expert will be in charge of supporting of humanitarian and developmental programmes of COOPI in the Country related to water, sanitation and hygiene. The WASH Expert will ensure the highest level of technical quality at each stage of the programme cycle in the respect of international and national humanitarian standards. He/she supports the Head of Mission and Head of Programme in the definition of the WASH strategy of COOPI in Ethiopia, ensures the implementation of the WASH activities, monitors the respect and compliance of International and National technical standards related to the sector, by providing technical support to Project Managers and WASH supervisors in his/her sector of competence. He/She evaluates and capitalize the experience produced in the country and by standardizing the approaches, in line with the organization’s approaches and policies.

Qualification & Experience:
- Master’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of experience and education;
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience in the WASH sector with strong involvement in direct implementation of WASH works;
- Understanding of emergency response programming for displacement situations;
- Demonstrated experience in the management of human resources;
- Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and implement in the field;
- Proven ability in teaching and coaching, including in the security domain;
