DRC Job Vacancy 2022
Overall Purpose of the Role: DRC Ethiopia is looking for an experienced Emergency Coordinator to technically support, coordinate, and ensure the quality of emergency response programs in all DRC Ethiopia operational areas. As a member of the multi-sectorial Emergency Team and under the direct supervision of the Emergency Manager, the Emergency Coordinator is responsible for the provision of technical support in the design and implementation of DRC emergency operations in Ethiopia and ensuring that humanitarian responses are implemented through analysis of shocks and needs within the country, facilitation and roll out and regular updating of country emergency preparedness and response plans, and developing SoPs and procedures for multi-sector assessment and responses in line with the DRC operational procedures and global standards.

Qualification:
- Master or bachelor’s degree in DRR, international development, Social Sciences, Sociology, Economics, Development Studies, or a relevant related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with an excellent professional track record with at least three years experience in emergency/ humanitarian program implementation within a conflict or immediate post-conflict environment.
- Experience or familiarity with the requirement of institutional donors e.g., OFDA, ECHO, EHF, DFID, etc.
