DRC Job Vacancy 2021
Job Purpose: The Programme Coordinator (PC) will assist the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) in maintaining programme management processes and tools. The PC will serve as a member of the Programme Management Unit (PMU) and will be responsible for driving day-to-day project management processes, such as work planning, activity-based budgeting and coordination. In particular, the PC will work with Operations Managers, Component Leads and field-based Project Managers to develop, update and adapt workplans and activity-based budgets (ABBs) for all activities, and will regularly collate updated information in the Master Work Plan and Master ABB.

Qualification:
- Degree in social science studies, sociology, international development, economics or other relevant fields.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years experience working in international development and/or humanitarian programming particularly in the area of protection, migration and refugee affairs.
- Excellent understanding of the migration sector in Ethiopia, particularly in the area of refugee, returnees and host community.
- Experience in working with government counterparts and other partners at various levels – federal to district. This includes technical support, capacity-building and coordination.
- Strong project management experience, including resource management, work planning, implementation oversight and periodic review, and compliance management
- Significant experience in training, capacity building, and mentoring
- Experience working on DFID and/or FCDO funded programmes
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience of diverse team management
- Highly diplomatic with excellent political awareness and understanding
- High-level communications and interpersonal skills
- A demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with governments, donors, partners, local organisations, and other stakeholders
