GGGI Job Vacancy 2021
Job Purpose: The purpose of the assignment is to conduct a legal and institutional analysis of the AFOLU sector including: policy gap analysis for investments identified (bamboo plantations and processing clusters; commercial timber plantations and wood processing clusters; coffee agroforestry and processing; and support for sustainable value chains of NTFPs, particularly honey and beeswax); policy changes/levers to incentivize adoption of specified investments; and steps and priority actions for policy change. The legal and institutional analysis of the AFOLU sector will serve for the development of the Action Plan, identifying policy-based solutions for “the antecedent conditions”

Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Public Sector Law/environmental Law/Forest Law, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Experience
- The consultant should have 10 years of relevant experience in legal and policy disciplines in the public sector.
- The consultant should be able to apply policy frameworks to assess the requirements of the project; providing substantive input through the reports; interacting with different stakeholders in order to facilitate the assessment of needs and the provision of services which meet the expectations; and managing the deliverables according to the time established. Analytical work should be effectively organized and delivered within the established resources.
