GGGI Job Vacancy 2021
Job Purpose:
- Leads and implements programs or projects, including budget, project monitoring and evaluation and project models that align with national development priorities;.
- Compile through research case studies and other illustrative materials that give practical guidance to identify specific project initiatives where green growth can be most effectively illustrated;
- Apply institutional strategy (“GGGI Strategic Plan 2030”) and country engagement strategy (“Country Planning Framework”) to the design and development of yearly program plans and activities for the alignment with GGGI core values and corporate priorities and formulate the Country planning framework.
- Lead the development of result reporting of program activities internally and externally

Qualification:
- The expert will preferably have earned a postgraduate degree in law, economics, public policy, international development, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in helping government agencies prepare and implement Green Development and Climate Policies and experience in climate change Adaptation areas. Fluency in and strong command of English are required.
Experience
- Solid knowledge and track record in relation to Climate Change and NDCs issues such as adaptation, mitigation, climate financing, GHG inventory, international climate change dialogue, MRV, NAP-ETH, NDC etc.;
- Solid understanding of legal and institutional framework of Ethiopia’s NAP, NDCs, such as key national stakeholders for implementation of NAP-ETH, including regional institutional set up;
- Previous experience in analyzing and preparing climate change projects, i.e. mitigation and adaptation measures;
- Ability to produce high-quality, concise, clear and structured reports;
- Significant work experience and network in Ethiopia;
- Experience working for/ with international institutions and familiarity with their policies and procedures; and
- Effective team player, communications (oral, written) such as communicating technical concepts to non-technical audience, and analytical competencies.
