GGGI Job Vacancy 2022
Objectives of the Assignment: The general objective of the assignment is to hire a part -time consultant who can facilitate a training which focus on introduction of basic concepts of linear programming modelling with GAMS, sectoral modelling and practical CGE modeling layering climate change perspective. The training will be rendered to 25 technical team members of Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD) and other pertinent line ministries and Agencies for improving the quality of development planning through enhancing the core capabilities of the line ministries and agencies on economic wide modelling through integrating climate change perspective. The Specific objectives are the following:
- To equip the trainees with different policy analysis instruments/tools.
- To enable trainees, use linear and nonlinear partial equilibrium models for policy analysis
- To capacitate the trainees to use CGE and system dynamics modelling in their planning exercise
- Improve the capacity in climate scenario modelling contributing to greening the Social Accounting Matrix.
