GIZ Job Vacancy 2021
Your tasks:
- Project management including financial management (budget planning, cash management, contract management, etc.) as well as technical and conceptual control and further development of the country package.
- Regular and ad-hoc reporting as well as responsibility for impact monitoring in close cooperation with the coordination unit in Bonn.
- Management of the national and international GIZ experts of the country package as well as external presentation of the project in coordination with the coordination unit .
- Coordination and coordination with non-governmental organizations and international donors who intervene on the national level as well as in the Amhara and Tigray region in the area of food security.
- Advising the Ethiopian partner structures on positioning and anchoring the topic of nutrition on a national and decentralized level.
- Knowledge preparation and dissemination, conception of dialogue formats for the dissemination of successful measures in other districts as well as GIZ-internal knowledge management.

Qualification:
- Completed university degree in the field of agricultural, nutritional or health sciences or comparable and several years of professional experience in international cooperation in rural areas, ideally in Africa.
Experience
- Several years of experience in the management of the operational implementation of projects in food security or related areas in the context of development cooperation
- Good knowledge of nutrition as well as the most important approaches in food security and advice
- Distinct conceptual skills, a high degree of implementation orientation and advisory skills as well as experience in leading employees
- Networking skills and strong communication skills
- Pronounced intercultural and diplomatic skills in politically sensitive areas, confident demeanor as well as willingness and commitment
- Very good cooperation and networking skills
- Experience in the implementation of gender approaches (gender transformative approaches)
- Proficient in German and English.
