ILRI Job Vacancy 2022
Job Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a food safety intervention in selected food commodities whose aim is to bring sustainable improvement in safe production, handling and consumption along the farm-to-fork value chains considering the contexts in Ethiopia or elsewhere in developing countries. The design and implementation require close collaboration with Ethiopian institutions and local authorities.
- Undertake participatory experiments targeting food hygiene and safety improvements.
- Coordinate the collection of biological samples and contribute to sample processing and laboratory analysis in microbiology.
- Coordinate survey and observational longitudinal data collection with multiple local research partners.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis of food safety intervention.
- Develop research proposal, and thesis for academic purposes.
- Use the study results to write scientific papers, as well as presentations at conferences.
- Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Undertake other relevant tasks as assigned by work supervisors.
