IMMAP Job Vacancy 2023
Description Of Duties:
- Conduct of training needs assessments to establish priority needs and gaps in the information management capacity.
- Planning and scheduling of capacity-building activities in consultation with key stakeholders
- Development of training and session plans, goals, and objectives for humanitarian capacity building programs based on identified gaps and capacity building priorities: Humanitarian Information Management, Coordinated Needs Assessment and Secondary Data Analysis, Primary Data Collection, Data Preparation and Analysis, Data Mapping, Data Visualization.
- Design and develop capacity-building curriculum and learning materials.
- Organize and deliver/co-facilitate core and advanced training and capacity building activities consistent based on need.
- Research, identify and develop appropriate training packages on emerging tools and innovative technologies that enhance partner ability for effective utilization of IM tools;
- Develop or identify training content and/or supporting reference resources such as presentations, practical exercises, and handouts to facilitate learning;
- Conduct pre-training, in-training, and post-training evaluations for feedback address challenges and impediments to effective learning, document and share lessons learned;
- Develop and design online learning materials such as lesson plans, lesson content, learning objectives and assessment tools.
- Create engaging online learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Ensure consistency and standardization of activities and material where possible;
- Facilitate staff’s ability to use existing and emerging technology to achieve the organization’s mission and objectives;
- Train and provide technical support to the identified staff as needed on all Information Management tools and processes;
- Provide mentorship and support to iMMAP IMOs and interns, including induction and as a focal point for ongoing support and capacity building;
- Review the quality of IM products produced by IMOs to ensure products are of high quality, easy to understand and contain relevant information when assigned;
- Draft the capacity building success stories for inclusion in iMMAP’s reports, newsletters, and social media platforms
- Maintain project documentation and course folders.
- Any other duties required.

Qualification & Experience:
- An advanced university degree or equivalent experience in the fields of information management;
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience and a background in non-profit, internationally-focused organizations;
- Experience in humanitarian, crisis recovery, and resilience aspects is highly desirable;
- Demonstrated experience and an appreciation of considerations in designing and delivering training content focused on the needs of adult learners;
- Progressively responsible experience in designing needs assessments, data management, mapping and visualization, coaching, and training.
