IMMAP Job Vacancy 2023

Job Representation: The Programme Coordinator will support all goals and strategies of the iMMAP programme in its work with national and international partners and applicable donor agencies.

  • Oversee the overall implementation of the program ensuring objectives are met within the required time frame and budget. Where necessary ensure preventative and corrective action is taken.
  • Develop an implementation strategy which is appropriate to the country context and strategy.
  • Plan the mobilization of resources for the implementation of program activities.
  • Manage a comprehensive activity plan, including resource needs analysis, covering the time frame.
  • Proactively inform iMMAP Country Director of identified opportunities, risks and risk mitigation relevant to the program planning and implementation.
  • Maintain an overview of the national and regional context with a view to the strategic development of the project both in the current identified sites and potential of future program extension and expansion.
  • Support programme implementation as needed, including: developing assessments, baselines, budgets, monitoring and evaluation systems, field visits to verify data, reporting and close-out
  • Ensure timely, accurate reporting of activities to iMMAP, donor, and implementation partners
  • Manage the Communication and Design officer, who will work closely with global communication team, lead the the production of communication output, including production of internal and external visibility materials, social media, snapshot for iMMAP projects, and capacity statistics.
  • Assist iMMAP Country representative and HQ with forward strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Establish robust M&E framework, to capture and report on output and outcome indicators required for projects.
  • Liaise closely with iMMAP project co-partners, to ensure timely and accurate reporting for project activities, and development of new proposals.
  • Ensure all identification, selection and contracting related issues for the staff of the designated project are carried out in accordance with iMMAP guidelines.
  • Through a consultative leadership style and a transparent and supportive communication structure, develop and build an effective iMMAP project team.
  • Ensure that staff receive appropriate and adequate training by providing coaching.
  • Build relationships on behalf of iMMAP with bilateral donors, international non-governmental organizations, implementation partners and other agencies relevant to the implementation of the program.

Qualification & Experience:

  • An advanced university degree or equivalent experience in the fields of information management, project management;
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience and a background in non-profit, internationally-focused ;organizations;
  • Experience in humanitarian, crisis recovery, and resilience aspects is highly desirable;
  • Progressively responsible experience in managing multiple, and complex projects, with focus on IM activities including Information product development, and IM capacity building.
