NRC Job Vacancy 2022
Job Responsibilities: This position falls under the supervision of the Head of Policy Development Unit and is expected to:
- Promote the integration of lessons learned and best practices into work processes, guidance and planning scenarios, and prepare and share with the PAPS senior leadership management team the synthesis of lessons learned and recommendations documented in the mission’s final lessons learned reports as required.
- Coordinate the development of knowledge sharing mechanisms and lessons learned strategy for the ASF and AU PSOs.
- Promote and facilitate institutional learning and best practices within PSOD, AU PSOs and the RECs/RMs and ensure the accessibility of all key PSOD and mission documents personnel as required.
- Coordinate and conduct lessons learned processes, technical consultations, best practices sessions and other activities as required to ensure continuous institutional learning and knowledge sharing mechanisms for PSOD and AU PSOs.
- Coordinate and enhance the development of a guideline on the codification and classification of PSOD and mission documents in and for the Knowledge Management Platform.
- Promote the active use of PSOD’s knowledge management systems and sharing tools, and coordinate awareness activities and training on PSOD Lessons Learned and best practices processes.
- Support the Head of Unit and other senior managers, upon request, with the development and review of lessons learned and Best Practices policies, guidelines and mechanisms.
- Support the development and operationalization of an AU PSOD Policy and Best Practices online platform and promote the active use of the platform and other best practices tools.
- Support the development of a strategy to support the AU PSO and RECs/RMs in enhancing lessons learned and best practices processes.
- Perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualification:

Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in knowledge management and institutional learning within a conflict or post conflict scenario.
- Experience in leading, coordinating and communicating change management initiatives, along with previous experience with African Union Peace Support Operations environment is highly desirable.
