Generic responsibilities:
- Management of shelter
- Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of Shelter projects (activities, budget and project documentation).
- Day to day follow of progress in project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.
- Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.
- Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
- Promote the rights of IDPs and returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.

Qualification and Experience:
- BSc degree in Civil, Hydraulics and Architectural Engineering with 3 years & above experience in shelter Construction and WaSH responses.
- Diploma in Building Construction/Civil Engineering with 4 years & above experience in shelter Construction.
- Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Computer literacy of technical software (i.e. AUTOCAD, GIS, and EPANET) is an asset.
- Ability in English Language, (Written and Spoken).
- Previous experience working in humanitarian/recovery context.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and team building skills.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, carry out multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.
- Ability to work independently whenever required.
