Accountabilities and Main Work Activities: for overall quality of programme and influence work in country in relation to IYCF-E in all Health and Nutrition project in emergencies response. The following are the key role and responsibilities of the post holder:
- Strategic Program/project management/assessment, proposal development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation (30%).
- Build the capacities of field base health and nutrition team to enable them to provide support and counselling to mothers and caregivers of children under 2 years of age, strictly abiding by COVID-19 protective measures for self, mother and child (30 %).
- Resources mobilizations and donor relationship management (20%).
- Coordination, Advocacy, Communication and Representation (10%).

Qualification:
- Health / Public Health / Nutrition / BSc or equivalent such as nurse, midwife or nutritionist with strong primary health care / community health care 5 and more year experience in INGO in humanitarian setting;
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting and supporting optimal breastfeeding and complementary feeding;
- Demonstrable management experience, including budget holding responsibility;
- Experience of designing and implementation programs (ideally nutrition-related), including monitoring and evaluation;
- Experience in conducting assessments and an understanding of nutritional data and information systems;
- Proven capacity to supervise, train and coach staff;
- Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;
- Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment;
- Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay at the field;
- Emergency programming experience;
- Qualification as a trainer of trainers in breastfeeding counseling;
- Familiarity with the Operational Guidance on IYCF-E and SPHERE standards.
- Excellent understanding of the relevant thematic sectors in Ethiopia at both field and policy levels; including the national health programs and how it fits with the HEP. Such as, the health sector development program, and other relevant guidelines and strategy documents.
- Proven experience in designing emergency health projects including MHPSS-E and developing successful proposals
- Familiarity with health donors, partners, and INGO as well as LNGO
