Job Opportunity: The position holder will be responsible to support the implementation of PIE’s strategy mainly through strategically leading Plan’s gender equality and inclusion interventions to ensure that PIE’s ambition of becoming a girl’s rights and gender quality organisation is realized. This would be demonstrated in undertaking responsibilities which includes provision of strategic leadership on gender transformative programming in the design and delivery of all development and humanitarian programs as well as strengthening staff’s and partners’ capacity on gender transformative programming. The leadership of the position holder will also be demonstrated through proactive internal and external engagement and partnership building (including in resources mobilization), networking and collaboration for policy engagement, and learning and knowledge management within the broader organization on gender equality and inclusion. These responsibilities will cut across both development and humanitarian sectors, with special attention paid to the nexus between the two.

Qualification:
- Masters in Gender Studies, BA/LLB or Master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, law and other disciplines relevant to Plan International Ethiopia’s work.
Experience
- A minimum of eight years of experience relevant for the position, of which three years at supervisory position.
- Demonstrable experience of leading gender transformative programming and influencing/advocacy models in development and humanitarian settings.
- Demonstrable experience in promoting gender and inclusion and in advancing children’s rights and/or gender equality in a national context.
