UNDP Job Vacancy 2021
Technical: Develop a strong understanding of the policy context for SCALA and opportunities for action by reviewing existing national and sub-national agriculture and land-use sector policies, plans and initiatives and compare these to Ethiopia’s updated NDC and NAP priorities on land use and agriculture. Facilitate inclusive, participatory outreach and consultation meetings between ministries, commissions, civil society, and private sector in relation to all work areas of the project as needed. Facilitate effective communication with relevant ministries and commissions while building strategic partnerships with other key stakeholders, in particular private sector, to promote investment in climate action.

Qualification:
- Advanced university degree in Agricultural or Environmental Economics, Environment and Natural Resources Management or Climate Sciences, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of four years’ working experience in the field of natural resources management, agriculture development, climate change adaptation and/or mitigation;
- At least two years of relevant and demonstrable experience in the coordination and/or management and/or implementation of development projects, especially focusing on climate change mainstreaming;
- Experience in developing technical reports, project proposals as well as resource mobilization strategies, and policy documents on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
