UNDP Job Vacancy 2023

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake ongoing assessment and analysis of the political, social and economic situation in the country in order to advise on programme strategy;
  • Based on ongoing assessment and analysis, identify new opportunities for new programme and project development; and adjustment of programme and project implementation, in line with the Common Country
  • Assessment (CCA), United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), Country Propramme Document (CPD), Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP), Annual Work Plan (AWP) and other key planning frameworks;
  • Support and advise Programme Units (Governance and Capacity Development, Economic Growth and Poverty
  • Reduction and Climate Resilient Green Growth) on project identification and development;
  • Ensure UNDP Programme in Ethiopia fully operationalizes all key result areas identified in the UNDAF/CPD in collaboration with the main partners and other UN Agencies;
  • Manage the PMSU.
  • Support implementation of the CO partnerships and resource mobilization strategies to achieve Programme outcomes;
  • Establishing, deepening and coordination of partnerships with the UN agencies, government institutions, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, private sector, civil society, etc.;
  • Support identification of programmatic areas of cooperation, based on strategic goals of UNDP, country needs and donors’ priorities;
  • Identification of possibilities for UN joint programming & other partnership development opportunities;
  • Oversee the management of the Pooled Funded projects of the Development Assistance Group (DAG);
  • Analysis and research of information on donors, preparation of substantive briefs on possible areas of cooperation, identification of opportunities for cost-sharing;
  • Undertake analysis of a partnership survey and develop and oversee the implementation of an action plan, within a broader partnership and resource mobilization strategy, to improve partnership results.
