Purpose Of The Consultancy
The purpose of this consultancy is to formulate a comprehensive HR communication strategy, develop high quality content and deliver high quality communications and branding through multiple outreach platforms such as ECA’s website, intranet, news bulletins, video releases, Linked IN and other relevant channels. In particular, this extends to promoting the Economic Commission for Africa as a premier think tank through multiple platforms, developing web and other content to showcase the expertise of the Commission to a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external, and supporting the roll-out and outreach communications of human resources and staff engagement initiatives.

Qualification:
- Academic Qualifications: Academic Qualifications : An advanced University degree in public information, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, preferably with an
international organization, in public information, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field is required. Experience in international communications-related issues and website content management is required. Previous experience working with knowledge management portals is highly desirable. Previous experience with the United Nations is an advantage
Language:
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post
advertised, fluency in English (oral and written) is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
Skills:
- Very good knowledge of MS Office; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of website content management portals is required; Knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or similar graphic design software is highly desirable.
