UNECA Job Vacancy 2022
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision and guidance of the Regional Integration and Trade Division (RITD) of the Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the African Union Commission (AUC), the consultants will perform the following key tasks:
- Inception report, including list of stakeholders for key informant interviews and annotated outline of final methodology document (revised based on ECA feedback)
- Draft AU methodology for continental ICBT data collection
- Updated and finalised AU methodology for continental ICBT data collection based on inputs from consultations and review meetings
- Presentation slides of methodology for AU Member States with recommendations on incorporation of methodology in formal statistics.

Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, International Trade, International Relations, International Law and/or related areas is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience working in the areas of Statistics, Economics, Business, International Trade, International Relations, International Law and/or related areas. Proven working experience with African countries on data and statistics and/or on trade, is required. Demonstrated expertise in data collection methodologies as well as experience with informal trade data collection methodologies and/or with cross-border trade in Africa is required. Experience working with governments of AU Member States and other stakeholders related to trade and/or statistics is an asset.
