UNECA Job Vacancy 2023
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair- Checks and repairs defective locks, modifies and adjusts or replaces metal doors ,windows, desks, shelves, metal grills, manhole covers, hinges, hydraulic door closers, filling cabinets, drawers, window stoppers as well as provide maintenance assistance to all staff including the residence of the Executive Secretary;
- Construction and Assembling- Remove broken glasses on doors and windows, cuts and replaces them with new pieces. Prepares traffic and directional signs, manhole covers, grills, fences, security booths, constructing, assembling, and fixing metal structures and elements. Install and maintains aluminum vertical curtains. Remove and re-installs aluminum partitions window films;
- Carrying out related activities in the metal work shop such as- Printing names on the Demographer machine, duplicating Keys, cutting and assembling glasses, welding different kinds of metals and performing on request for services, preparation of materials and spare parts requisition;
- Perform any other duties whenever requested by the supervisor and chief of FMS;
