UNECA Job Vacancy 2021
Duties and Responsibilities: The Organizational Development Unit (ODU) operates under the Chief of Human Resources. The unit is tasked to spearhead a comprehensive Learning Needs Assessment in preparation for ECA 2022 training planning and the timely release of the corresponding annual L&D catalogue. The consultant will play a key role for achieving the timely completion of this project. The LNA process will be based on triangulation, involving the analysis of online survey findings, interviews with Director-level leaders and their deputies as well as focus groups held virtually with national and international staff from various divisions and of various levels.

Qualification:
- Advanced University degree related to the field of adult education is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- Five or more years of experience with evaluating learning and development needs in international settings. Five or more years of experience with UN or other international non-profit organizations, preferably including at least two years of experience with UN organizations in Africa is required.
- Proven capacity to analyse data and prepare reports outlining LNA findings and recommendations is required.
- Proven interviewing, focus group facilitation, data analysis and report writing skills is required.
- Minimum of one year experience using virtual communication platforms such as Zoom or Teams is required.
- Proficient with recording technology for virtual dialogue processes is also required.
