Job Duties and Tasks: Under the supervision of the nutrition specialist (NOC), the consultant will be responsible for drafting, fact-checking, and writing of the National Adolescent Nutrition Guidelines with required annexes and apply the following strategies:
Conduct a desk review to understand the landscape of adolescent nutrition in the country. Review newly available evidence and synthesis of findings from the landscape review/analysis and identify priority actions for the adolescent nutrition programing Support the TWG in the development of a standalone adolescent nutrition guide by drafting the guidelines after having the initial draft from the respective technical team established under the nutrition case team FMOH; the content should include intervention strategies and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP’s) for all intervention packages such as IFA/MMS for adolescents , link school and health to provide services and better school environment. Facilitate inputs and review from the Adolescent Nutrition Working Group members throughout the drafting process.

Qualification:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Public health Nutrition, public health epidemiology, food and nutritional sciences or related technical field is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 [Ten] years of relevant professional experience in the nutrition programming in developing countries’ context.
- Demonstrated experience in producing documents, proposals, and reports for a resource partners, including UN agencies.
- Experience in implementing nutrition research and programs will be considered an asset
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency is considered an asset.
