UNODC Job Vacancy 2021
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the overall supervision of the Head of Transnational Organized Crime, Illicit Trafficking Programme (Programme Management Officer) based at the Regional Office for Eastern Africa (ROEA) in Nairobi, Kenya, and direct supervision of the Associate Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer, the consultant will perform the following tasks: Analyze and assess previous UNODC assessments on support to FAGO conducted in Ethiopia; Utilizing existing UNODC assessment tools and in cooperation with in cooperation with UNODC staff and other consultants, collect and assess new and additional information from the FAGO not previously or sufficiently identified in existing assessment reports, as required;

Qualification:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of law, criminology, public administration, political science, human rights, international relations or criminal justice, crime prevention and/or law enforcement is required. A first level university degree or equivalent with two additional years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in organizing, providing technical support, drafting documents and facilitating workshops, developing curriculum and training, important key meetings and missions related to countering Transnational Organized Crime as well as Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. & Wide experience with government agencies, local and international NGOs and UN agencies is desirable.
Language
- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English and Amharic is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
