Functional Responsibilities:
Under the close supervision of the HR Specialist, the intern will be expected to engage in the support of HR tasks and to selectively drive particular work items on their own as part of their on-the-job learning program.
His/her responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Actively participate in recruitment outreach efforts for all active recruitments as per the outreach plan.
- Assist in checking and proofreading ToRs on proper grammar and format use in advertisements before they are posted.
- Assist in reference checking process of candidates.
- Report on completion of mandatory courses .
- Assist in the compiling of different HR reports as appropriate.
- Follow up on confirmation of approvals for contract extensions.
- Follow up on confirmation of budget lines with hiring units during recruitment’s.
- Logistical assistance in planning, organizing and preparation of interviews, trainings and other relevant events.
- Support the identification and documentation of best practices and lessons learnt, including coordination and organization wide implementation of knowledge sharing and documentation methodologies.
- Assist in HR filing as applicable.
- Maintenance of the training database.
- Other tasks as deemed relevant.
