UNV Job Vacancy 2021

Description of task: Under the supervision of the TICAD Partnership Specialist in Tokyo, and in close collaboration with the M&E team in the Regional Service Centre for Africa based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as well as the consultant in charge of developing and operationalizing the monitoring website and in charge of communications, the TICAD Monitoring and Reporting Officer is expected to perform the following duties: Coordinate and consolidate UNDP’s inputs to update the YPA 2019. Work with the M&E team in the RSCA and coordinate inputs to update the YPA 2019.

Qualification:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant area, e.g. project management or area related to Monitoring and Evaluation;
  • First-level university degree or equivalent in combination with relevant training and/or professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree

Age

  • 25 years old. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience at the national and/or international level in international development, reporting and monitoring.
  • Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills
  • Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing
  • Experience in monitoring and project management at international organizations is a strong asset.
  • Working experience in UN agencies is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with TICAD is a strong asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development.
