Description Of Duties: The incumbent regularly undertakes situation analysis in Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition programme areas and provides technical assistance to national authorities as follows: 1.Provides technical support to the Ministry of Health and its technical departments in the review, development and implementation of comprehensive Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition policies and strategies;2.Works closely with health system strengthening/primary health care (HSS/PHC) focal point to support integrated immunization service delivery; 3.Develops/formulates, strategies and recommendations in Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition to strengthen national plans and priorities; 4.Facilitates the integration of Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition programmes and approaches including Making Pregnancy Safer, Newborn Care, Integrated Management of Childhood Illness strategy, Infant and Young Child Feeding, and Youth Friendly Health Service into comprehensive health plans;5.Supports advocacy and resource mobilization efforts as well as mentoring/coaching & partnership coordination to ensure the full implementation of national plans6.Strengthen the technical and managerial capabilities of national staff;7.Supports the adaptation of WHO tools/guidelines for the implementation of Immunization, Making Pregnancy Safer, Newborn Care, Integrated Management of Childhood Illness strategy, Infant and Young Child Feeding, and Youth Friendly Health Service programmes;8.Strengthen surveillance and introduction of emerging vaccine preventable disease activities by developing and supporting the implementation and monitoring of national plans and promotion of capacities for sustainable improvements;9.Supports operations research to improve effectiveness of Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition programmes;10.Plan, guide and recommend quality improvement process for Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition services;11.Formulates integrated work-plans for WHO collaborative programmes on Immunization, MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition and explore voluntary contribution funds;12.Provides technical support in monitoring and evaluating programme effectiveness, including the review and synthesis of information; assessments of quality, coverage and costs of interventions and the use of such data for decision making; and programme planning and improvement;13.Identifies, documents and supports the FMOH to implement best practices in the immunization and MNCAH areas of work14.Maintains and updates website information in work; and15.Performs other relevant duties, assigned by the supervisor(s).

Qualification:
- Medical Doctor’s degree with post-graduate degree in epidemiology or public health, Reproductive Health or Obstetrics & Gynecology; or Pediatrics & Adolescent Health from a recognized university.

- At least ten years of relevant experience including five years of international experience specifically in the implementation, organization and management of Immunization, or MNCAH (Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health) and Nutrition programmes.
