Save the Children Job Vacancy 2021
Role Purpose:
- The Immunization Project Officer is responsible for implementing the activities of EAA funded GAVI Immunization Strengthening Project. S/he will support activities on: awareness creation, cold chain system, routine immunization, EPI documentation, and support the planning and implementation of immunization campaigns. The Immunization Project Officer will also be responsible for the timely coordination, preparation, implementation evaluation, strengthening and improvement of all training/capacity-building activities as specified on the project work plan. The project officer will work closely with the woreda health office head and EPI focal persons in the respective woredas/ ARRA in the respective camps. The officer will ensure efficiency and timely implementation of the immunization project interventions in the project implementation areas. S/he is responsible for the preparation and submission of regular project reports and case stories and meet deadlines for reporting and program updates.

Qualification:
- Degree/Diploma in Nursing or Public Health or health related fields.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant work experience (3 years’ experience for degree and 5 years for diploma holders) in the area child health and immunization
- Trainings on IIP, Immunization Cold chain users, and Immunization MLM trainings and INGO work experience is an asset
- Solid understanding of the Ethiopian health policy and strategies, as well as the health sector transformation plan and the health extension platform
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Prior working experience with NGOs especially focusing on immunization program implementation, training and capacity building activities
- Good command in written and spoken English.

- Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours.
- Good command in the local language – Agnuwak, Nuer, and Amharic languages
