Save the Children Job Vacancy 2021
ROLE PURPOSE: Promotes access and improve quality of education to fulfil all children’s right to education based on SCI vision, mission, and values; Jointly plans monitors and evaluates projects/programs with partners in the areas of LB. Provides professional and technical support for partners in the implementation of LB project activities and SCI Ethiopia’s five-year country strategy plan to achieve the set objectives. Injects innovative ideas on Education related activities including planning, reporting and documentation. Follows up the proper budget utilization especially in the full award cycle implementation, monitoring, evaluation and closeout of the projects. He/she takes the leading role in identifying gaps to enhance all project activities so that they manage and sustain their programs; ensures networking with strategic partners; organize, liaises and establishes working partnership with government organizations and works closely with other education Program managers.

Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or related education field.
Experience
- Experiences as an expert on primary education level is a plus;
- 8 years of relevant experience preferable in INGO context working on ECCE and Basic education; with at least 4 years in managerial roles.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mindsets
- Experience of solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
- Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner
- Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies
- Fluency in Amharic and English language required
