IOM Job Vacancy 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Support the establishment/maintenance of an effective coordination system of service provision at site level, across sub-national IOM CCCM AoRs.
  • Participate in required assessments at site/relevant geographic level, aimed at collecting information on services available, population needs, and composition.
  • Input into camp information management systems, in line with sector guidelines including sex- and age-disaggregated data. Share information with all relevant stakeholders, in a manner that upholds the principle of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Facilitate accountability to and participation of affected populations across intervention locations, by helping to coordinate CCCM’s CFM system, training for community leaders, etc., with particular emphasis on meaningful inclusion of women, children, elderly, and persons with specific needs into decision-making processes.
  • Ensure that the displaced are aware of the assistance and services available on the site and how to access them.
  • Provide information and guidance with respect to the clarification of roles and responsibilities amongst stakeholders in the camp, and support capacity-building activities including in-person training, and on-the-job coaching, including in drought-affected locations.
  • Monitor and coordinate with the Site Planning & Development Officer on the maintenance of site infrastructure and support the mobilization of site residents with a focus on accessibility, sustainability, and community/local government ownership
  • Support CCCM procurement processes by liaising with CCCM teams and procurement staff at sub and head office levels, inputting into Procurement Planning, monitoring open procurements through financial monitoring, and ensuring correct supporting documentation from the Programme side.
  • Maintain appropriate links with national/local authorities, state institutions, civil society, andother relevant stakeholders, including effective coordination and information exchange with them.
  • Assist with the development of IOM site management standard operating procedures as well as other strategic documents.

  • Classification : Professional Staff, Grade P2
  • Type of Appointment : Special short-term graded, nine months with possibility of
    extension

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business or Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
  • Minimum Two Years Experience.
  • Experience in Camp Coordination and Camp Management, relocation, cash for work, ES/NFI,
    and project management;
  • Experience in return and reintegration of vulnerable persons;
  • Demonstrated experience in training and managing large teams of co-workers and
    multi-component programmes;
  • Experience working in hardship stations;
