IOM Job Vacancy 2021
Responsibilities:
- Oversee local recruitment and provide training to staff in accordance with the needs of the area and programme requirements, in coordination with the relevant units in Nairobi.
- Closely coordinate with the Resettlement Migration Management Operations Department and Migration Health Departments in Kenya on all operational/medical requirements and activities.
- Supervise and coordinate the implementation of non-resettlement projects in close coordination with the respective programme managers.
- Undertake emergency response operations and implement mitigation initiatives, e.g., refugee influx, drought and mitigation of resource-based conflicts.
- Support and assist fund-raising strategies; develop and maintain donor contacts at local level

- Type of Appointment : Fixed term, one year with possibility of extension

Qualification:
- Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Law, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
- Five years management/supervisory experience in working with resettlement programmes particularly USRAP; with supervisory experience in administrative, human resources and financial management;
