Roles and Responsibilities: Please note other responsibilities may be required based upon the implementation of Ashoka Africa Venture/Fellowship strategy
- Support efforts to find and select leading systems changing social entrepreneurs in East Africa as Ashoka Fellows
- by building a diverse, engaged and well supported network across the region to generate a high quantity and quality
- for the Ashoka Fellowship, conducting first opinion interviews, doing site visits, coordinating second opinion
- interviews and country panels.
- Liaise with the Global Venture team and stay abreast of new opportunities for innovations in Fellow engagement.
- Coordinate cross-Northeast Asia initiatives as needed to align with Ashoka Korea strategy.
- Identify and act on internal opportunities for integration with Ashoka Korea, other country offices, and the global
- Support local and global Venture and Fellowship fundraising efforts with data, best practices, budget, marketing
- materials, prospect identifications, etc.
- Build knowledge products and infrastructure around impact.
- Organizing and managing all aspects of Fellow documentation and communication
- Assist in the Management of the Fellowship Engagement
- Organizing periodic “round table” conversations to engage fellows, partners and staff of Ashoka around emerging
- issues and trends across East Africa’s development sector.
- To develop East Africa Fellowship products which will support Fellows to deepen their impact
- To report to the Regional Director and Africa Venture Director.
