AWF Job Vacancy 2023
Job Purpose: AWF is seeking an organized, skilled creative problem solver to assist in the coordination and implementation of AWF’s Communication and Marketing’s creative projects spanning various channels and business units within the organization. This role is the main point of contact for creative projects implemented on the African continent, based in AWF’s Nairobi headquarters. The successful candidate should be results-focused, highly collaborative and able to multitask simultaneous projects effectively while navigating project ambiguity. The coordinator will work closely with his/her manager, based in Washington DC, to guarantee project deliverables are within scope and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the Nairobi-based point person for creative projects, working closely in collaboration with other members of the Communications and Marketing team and stakeholders across the organization.
- Using the team’s project management software, establish and maintain project schedules with an understanding of the technical requirements for developing and delivering projects from a timing/feasibility perspective.
- Assist design team in executing designs based on templates, such as corporate presentations, external donor reports, etc.
- Maintain organization’s asset management system, ensuring proper storage of photography and videos with proper metadata and keep a robust graphics archive.
- Source imagery and videos for projects, researching images/video from AWF’s asset library or stock sites.
- Assist in coordination with various vendors for projects involving photography, video production, design, etc.
- Consult with country/ field offices on a regular basis to proactively address creative needs and respond to creative requests.
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization to ensure efficiency and seamless collaboration across key stakeholders.
- Continuously maintain/update and share creative project status to manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Act as brand guardian and key creative representation in cross-functional meetings and ensure brand guidelines are adhered to across the organization.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, project management or related field.
- 2+ years of project management experience.
- 4+ years of graphic design experience.
- Understanding of the creative production process across multiple channels (video,
- print, etc.) and a clear sense of project scope.
- Great verbal and written communication skills including the ability to translate complex or large tasks into manageable, actionable briefs and milestones.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (PS, AI, ID) in a Mac environment.
- Proficiency with project management software, such as Click Up, Air table, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with photography a plus
