IOM Job Vacancy 2023

Context: Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (EPC,) and direct supervision of the Programme Manager (CCCM), the successful candidate will apply theoretical knowledge and administrative skills in supporting implementing partner management (contracting, capacity building, monitoring) and reporting, as part of the wider CCCM programme in Somalia.

Core Functions/ Responsibilities:

  • Track IOM partners implementation activities, such as site governance, community participation and mobilization, women’s empowerment, site development and maintenance, emergency response, and feedback and accountability mechanisms.
  • Compile background and other information to help promote accountability of humanitarian actors towards affected populations, checking inclusivity and participation of all affected population, particularly vulnerable and marginalized groups. Bring issues to the immediate attention of the supervisor.
  • Participate in field visits to areas of operation to document and summarize project progress and implementation issues.
  • Work closely with CCCM partners team members to provide technical information and process guidance.

Qualification:

  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business or Public Administration, Humanitarian Affairs, Conflict Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution;

Experience:

  • Operational experience in the field in IDP/Refugee and migration related settings, including technical and partner cooperation, government engagement, and capacity building in a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and knowledge management is considered an asset
  • Experience in project design and development, project/programme evaluation, and report writing
