OXFAM Job Vacancy 2022

Job Purpose: The Oxfam International (OI) Culture Partner will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of the Culture Framework and ensure strong linkage with the work across the confederation to other internal stakeholder groups such as the Diversity and Inclusion Working group, The Culture Change Community of Practice and the HR community. The OI Culture Partner will flex between strategic and operational and give technical expertise on matters of culture, diversity, and inclusion for stakeholders within OIS, and the broader confederation (including countries and regions). In addition, the role will be expected to communicate and organize safe spaces for dialogue conversations on culture, diversity, and inclusion.

Partner Job Responsibilities:

To manage Culture, Diversity and Inclusion related projects

  • Manage time-bound projects related to Culture, Diversity and Inclusion within the Oxfam Global Identity process with guidance from the Culture Lead. Managing successful implementation of medium-and short-term projects that are central to delivering Oxfam’s Global Identity involving different stakeholders.
  • Provide support to key projects such as internal forums aimed at strengthening Oxfam’s work on workplace discrimination as well as work on the Global Staff Survey.
  • Support the dissemination of staff surveys and effectively manage the development and execution of action plans with various stakeholders across the confederation.
  • Provide a deep level of expertise in behavior change
  • Managing complex relationships and interdependencies across the Oxfam network (affiliates, clusters, countries, and regions, Oxfam International).
  • Manage implementation of the culture, diversity, and inclusion work plan by coordinating, planning and documenting culture out comes in meetings.
  • Provide regular reporting on milestones, deliverables, results and findings linked to culture, diversity, equity and inclusion to key stakeholders
  • Monitor project milestones and outputs, ensuring each project area is on track and supporting re-planning and adjustments, as necessary.

Essential:

  • 2-4 years work experience in employee-centre roles
  • Demonstrable interest and passion in organizational culture, diversity and inclusion
  • Experience in managing large, complex culture change projects.
  • Ability to facilitate organizational change conversations by engaging in a participatory and collaborative environment including the ability to liaise with a wide range of people, both internally and externally with credibility, tact and diplomacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrable ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
  • Proven ability to organise own work effectively, and deal with ambiguity and changing contexts.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
