The mandate of UN-Habitat derives from the Habitat Agenda, adopted by the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II) in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1996.

Specific Duties:
- Proactively develop new communications content related to the PFES’ programmes that focus on weaving together multiple projects and take a forward-facing position.
- Track all communications outputs produced by stakeholders of the different programmes to identify synergies and opportunities for developing rich collaterals.
- Further develop guidance that supports colleagues to gather and generate human-interest stories.
- Personally conduct interviews and develop human-interest stories, where possible.
- Support the compilation of a library of photos, videos, and stories.
- Support the development of key messages.
- Adhere to UN-Habitat communications guidelines.
- Seek approval from relevant stakeholders prior to publication.
- Where required, support or manage the design and publication process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification:
