Main Responsibilities For The Urban Resilence Consultant: Under the direct supervision of the Head of the City Resilience Global Programme (CRGP), the consultant will provide substantive professional support to the Programme and will undertake the following tasks:
- Provide technical support in city operations for Barcelona partner cities (Medellin and Tunis)
- Train Medellin core team and expert/focal point on the implementation of the City Resilience Profiling Tool (CRPT)
- Support Medellin core team in data collection and assessment efforts
- Collaborate with Medellin expert in data assessment, diagnosis and action planning activities
- Advise Tunis focal point in data collection, diagnosis and action planning activities
- Prepare workshop and reporting materials for the outputs of the project in partner cities
- Provide technical support in operations at the regional scale for Catalunya
- Conduct research on territorial approaches in resilience building
- Align and calibrate CRPT to ensure applicability in the regional scale
- Collaborate with local teams and experts in CRGP implementation

Qualification:
- Advanced university degree is required in Urban or Regional Planning, Architecture, Development Studies, Engineering, or similar fields.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience is required in developing strategies, guidelines, toolkits or policies for effective urban environments, and in liaising with private and governmental authorities, other national/international institutions and NGOs and in working within fragile urban environments.
