Duties and Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Senior Human Rights Adviser (SHRA), the incumbent will carry out the following duties:
- Provide technical advice on human rights mainstreaming in the implementation of the project;
- Support coordination and implementation of human rights-related activities under the project;
- Coordinate integration of human rights in the overall implementation of the project;
- Collect and analyse information on the human rights situation and trends, drawing on various sources;
- Work closely with and support the National Human Rights Institution, civil society organizations and community-based networks to strengthen human rights and civic space in governance and democratic processes;
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the project; Prepare reports, documents and briefs as required under the project;
- Undertake any other duties as required.

Qualification:

Experience:

- Experience must include sound knowledge of and skill in the development and implementation of human rights related projects and programmes.
- Good knowledge and experience in human rights and gender mainstreaming in human rights related projects and programmes is required.
- Experience working with Government, National Human Rights Institution and civil society organisations on human rights-related issues is highly desirable.
- Experience in human rights engagement with community-based networks is highly desirable. Experience engaging on human rights in an electoral context is highly desirable.
