UNEP Job Vacancy 2021
Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Communications Manager for the UN Decade within the Communications Division, and in close collaboration with the Chief of Pubic Advocacy and Outreach, and the Head of the Nature for Climate Branch, the consultant will perform a number of specialized tasks that contribute to the successful refinement of the UN Decade digital hub, including partner liaison, acting as interface with digital designers and developers, writing and editing of texts and improving editorial processes and display of information. As directed, the consultant will need to consult closely with other UN Decade partners, restoration implementers, and with members of the Ecosystems Division and UNEP as a whole.
Duties:
- Co-lead the digital design process together with the digital design company and act as liaison for UNEP and all UN Decade Partners
- Identify user needs from among participant groups and end users
- Translate user needs into user stories
- Co-define responding digital requirements together with the digital design company
- Develop and edit content for the digital hub’s testing and early set-up phase, update existing content
- Translate findings from testing phase into requirements for final product
- Write a brief final activity report
Qualification:
- Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Computer science or Computer Engineering or related subject matter is required. Knowledge in agile and scrum terminology, practices, and principles and have certification in Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or and Project Management Professional (PMP) is desirable. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years of experience in project development and one year in product management is required. Experience in project management (agile), excellent software product development management, web content management, product lifecycle management, stakeholder management, communications, business analyses, operational service design (end-to-end organization and process alignment) is desirable
