Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Information Technology Officer, the intern will work with and learn from a team of experienced professionals in the area of information technology and conference support and will be offered the opportunity to:
- Assist in updating the Montreal Protocol Handbook on the website and update of the printable version in InDesign;
- Participate in the development of new web applications and web functionalities;
- Review and clean historical Word Perfect and scanned documents for posting on the website;
- Update web content, as and when required;
- Support preparations for meetings, conferences, and other events;
- Perform other duties as may be requested.
Qualification:
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Studies/degree in the areas of Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management or related fields.
Experience:
- No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
Languages:
English and French are working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the internship advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
