UNEP Job Vacancy 2023
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review, assess current data governance frameworks at global level and identify links and gaps in such frameworks in the context of upcoming issues related to outcomes on digital sequence information (DSI) within the CBD, UNCLOS, FAO and WHO processes.
- Based on the review, prepare the data governance framework with reference to work under DSI issues tobe discussed
- and used under various processes within CBD, UNCLOS, FAO and WHO.
- Prepare one presentation on the key elements of the study identified under items 1 and 2 above in a forum related to DSI.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in environment, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences.
- At least 4 years of experience in dealing with CBD, benefit sharing MEAs, data and policy related issues.
- Proven expertise in DSI related policy issues.
- Familiarity with MEA processes related to DSI issues will also be needed.
- Experience in data management, policy and related issues as well as experience in working on DSI issue will be needed.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat., fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.
