Job Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the head, Sustainable Mobility Unit and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer – Latin America and the Caribbean Region, the successful candidate will contribute to the following specific tasks:
- Prepare a technical guidance document with implementation activity and monitoring plan for the technical aspects of the LAC GFEI and complementary programs in the region
- Set up a help desk for the LAC Support and Investment Platform
- Develop a technical report – first country needs assessment for LAC national electric mobility projects
- Develop a technical and detailed training curriculum for the LAC Regional Support and Investment Platform
- Prepare technical report including at least 1 potential electric mobility scale-up concepts, policy proposals or city roadmaps in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Prepare the structure for a digitalization of transport baseline assessment/framework for the most appropriate digital solutions in cities
- Develop 3 training materials covering technical aspects of e-mobility in the LAC region, including vehicle technology, charging, battery end-of-life issues for electric cars, 2&3 wheelers and buses
- Develop 3 training materials covering technical aspects of fuel economy in the LAC region, including baseline setting and fuel efficiency policies
- Develop a second technical report proposing at least 2 potential electric mobility scale-up concepts, policy proposals or city roadmaps in Latin America and the Caribbean
- Prepare meeting, workshop and training reports covering the activities of the LAC Support and Investment Platform
- Prepare meeting, workshop and training reports covering the activities of the LAC GFEI Projects

Qualification:
- An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Economics, Automotive Engineering or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two years relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- At least 5 years work experience in clean fuels and clean vehicles mobility projects is required
- Substantive knowledge of and technical and practical expertise in automotive fuel and vehicle issues, sustainable transport, and policy implementation in developing and transitional countries is required.
- Substantive knowledge about technical, operational and financial issue of electric mobility is required.
- Regional programme work experience in the Latin America and Caribbean Region is required.
- Experience in development of national partnerships and working with national strategic implementing agencies is required.
- Prior experience working in an international organization is desirable.
- Proven experience in developing successful fundraising proposals and project reporting to large
- Proven analytical, presentation and communication skills are assets.
- Data analysis and modelling skills and experience are required
