How can you make a difference:
Key functions:
In collaboration with the Donor Relations Specialist, Chief of Communication and Chiefs of Programme, manage the compilation, editing and dissemination of UNICEF donor reports, including narrative and financial utilization reporting. Ensure quality assurance and timely narrative reporting, including adherence to criteria set out in Executive Directives/Guidelines, UN/UNICEF policy papers, Somalia Country Office (SCO) Country Programme plans, donor contract stipulations etc. Provides support on the preparation of financial reporting for donor reports, in collaboration with the Donor Relations Specialist, Programme Budget Officer and overall supervision by the Chief of Communications. Support programme teams to ensure timely submission of budget modifications and handling of ad hoc donor requests related to narrative and budget reporting.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in international development, International Relations, Human Rights, Communication, Social Sciences, or related field.
Experience:
- Two years of relevant professional work experience including UNICEF experience in both humanitarian and development context and strong knowledge of UNICEF systems for donor relations and reporting.
- Field work experience an asset.
- Background/familiarity with Emergency a strong asset.
- Proven record of excellent English writing, communication and design skills.
- Must be creative and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills (thinks outside of the box), good networking and collaboration skills paired with the ability to inspire others and strong drive for results.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and information, including funding and budget information.
- Demonstrated ability to design products in an easy to digest, visually appealing format.
- Robust understanding of how UNICEF works around the world.
