UNOCT Job Vacancy 2022
Duties and Responsibilities: The specific deliverables for this consultancy include the following:
- Mapping, by country and thematic, of international and local CT/PCVE actors in eastern and southern Africa, including civil society.
- Timeline: by the end of month 1 have completed a draft stakeholder mapping exercise for 20 countries in East and southern Africa.
- Development of a plan for stakeholder engagement, including supporting briefing materials.
- Timeline: by the end of month 2 have completed a plan for UNOCT stakeholder engagement for the region, and finalized the stakeholder maps for 20 countries.
- Support, if required, with preparing for and convening stakeholder meetings, and consolidating feedback and perspectives gathered.

Qualification:
- Advanced University Degree (Masters or equivalent) in international relations, political or social science, development studies or other directly relevant field. A combination of relevant academic qualifications and extensive practical experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:
- A minimum of five years experience in synthesizing large volumes of information into concise and professional reports, briefs and other written products is required. Ability to triangulate information to ensure accuracy is required. Proven ability to meet short deadlines and work autonomously is required. Knowledge of the United Nations system, East Africa and/or southern Africa, and peace and security, specifically counter-terrorism and violent extremism, is highly desirable.
