UNODC Job Vacancy 2021

Duties and Responsibilities:

Within assigned authority, the Consultant, under overall supervision of the Head of Transnational Organized Crime, Illicit Trafficking and Terrorism Programmes for Eastern Africa and direct supervision of the relevant UNODC project manager, and in close consultation with relevant branches at UNODC headquarters and authorities of law enforcement agencies in Seychelles, will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Develop a workplan;
  • Deliver technical assistance and capacity building activities to the Seychelles Police Force FCIU;
  • Provide technical advice and support on financial investigation programme development to UNODC;
  • Develop and deliver one 5-day regional capacity building workshop on Strengthening Investigation and Intelligence Capacity to Counter the Financing of Terrorism in Eastern Africa.

Qualification:

  • Advanced university degree in, law, public policy, economics, finance, political science, criminal justice, or related discipline is required. Equivalent academic education and professional training with certification from a recognized international/national police, intelligence or other criminal justice staff training institution, with specialization in financial investigations or other related areas, in combination with 2 additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree

Experience:

  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience in the law enforcement and/or security service sector, working on financial investigations, countering terrorism financing cases, money laundering cases, asset forfeiture and related cases is required;
