UNODC Job Vacancy 2022

Job Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with communications focal points and team to promote more effective, strategic and proactive contributions to communications, digital/social media efforts, event planning and management.
  • Support the collection, review and documentation of human-interest stories and other relevant information for the purpose of effective communications.
  • Support in developing and implementing effective plans and frameworks for communication and social media use.
  • Develop presentations and other briefing material as may be requested.
  • Conduct research on crime prevention and criminal justice issues.
  • Help develop articles, amplification toolkits and communication strategies for key projects and initiatives, milestones and publications.
  • Perform research on specific topics and produce working papers, reports, summaries, analyses, briefings, presentations and studies.
  • Support printing and distribution of Information, Education and Communications Materials.
  • Support the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme with the organization and preparation of physical and virtual events. The intern may be expected to gather documentation, coordinate the agenda and other related materials.
  • Support brand positioning and visibility during events.
  • Attend and take notes at meetings, produce minutes and briefings on outcomes.
  • Maintaining knowledge, stakeholder and contact databases as needed.
  • Supporting due diligence activities for potential partners and organizations.
  • Assist with procurement activities (e.g., drafting of terms of reference).
  • Perform other tasks as necessary.
