UNV Job Vacancy 2021
Description of task:
- Provide support with regard to the review, analysis and preparation of the project budgets and the revisions (periodic, completion and closure) for the Nature based solution in UMOJA.
- Assit in tracking additional UN-REDD+ and Nature based solution project funding status on a regular basis.
- Assist in preparing contractual documents in UMOJA for partners including memos, small scale funding agreements, etc.
- Create journal adjustments in UMOJA as assigned.
- Assist in analyzing variances between actual expenditures in Business Intelligence and ECC.
- Maintain excel files for tracking UN-REDD+ , Nature based solutions, Norway/SIDA commitments for vendors , Consultants and ensure there are offset every quarter.
- Verify accuracy of input data, ensuring consistency of data for UN-REDD+ and nature based solutions.
- Use UN ERP system to prepare periodic reconciliation of project accounts reports.
- Review incoming expenditure reports and upon certification by the programme officer, record expenditures in the UN ERP system, prepare payment request.
- Create Advances for Vendors/ IP and Notify payees on status of payments.
- Assist with queries on budget, payment and deposit related issues for additional Funding for the Nature based solutions NFL/SIDA and FEL
- Raise I need tickets for closure of all UN-REDD projects grants and requesting for financial reports.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of professional work experience at the national and/or international level in financial analysis, or other relevant programmes; experience in working on GEF or GCF projects is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;
