Duties and Accountabilities:

  • The RTL’s primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following activities:
  • manage the workflow to ensure that team members process transactions within service standards and that loan administration/portfolio management issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Ensure optimal work program allocation for individual staff as well as for the RC team as a whole and monitor the work performance.
  • Promptly perform the tasks required to be done by the RTL in completing the processing of a transaction or the processing of a portfolio management activity to ensure that overall services standards are met.
  • Conduct reviews of the monthly and quarterly Operations Reports on the key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend ways to improve on the KPIs.
  • Provide advice and guidance to team members on technical matters and portfolio issues as well as on how to handle the related discussions and communication with clients.
  • Escalation of work program issues: Ensure that management is promptly informed of issues and concerns that require management action/support.
  • Ensure consistent applications of disbursement policies and guidelines by all staff in the RC.
  • Build relationships and engage with Country Managers / Directors and other CMU staff, Task Teams, Financial Management colleagues, Procurement colleagues etc on matters relating to disbursement and portfolio management activities in the RC.
  • Collaborate with and share knowledge, experiences and best practices with the RTLs of the other RCs.
  • Interact with external clients to better understand their needs and concerns and respond to them promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure that all incoming requests from clients are addressed by the staff promptly and effectively and with proper attention to due diligence and in compliance with existing Bank policies and guidelines.
  • Evaluate the results of ex ante and ex post reviews of transactions and the results of the portfolio management work to identify fiduciary risks and borrower capacity constraints and ensure that those challenges are adequately addressed by the staff by providing adequate support and capacity building to the clients.
  • Conduct or support the portfolio teams in providing capacity building and implementation support activities to clients.
  • Implement an effective case management process for tracking and responding to client queries, in liaison with the portfolio teams.
