ITC Job Vacancy 2023

Job Purpose: The main purpose of the assessment is to collect and compile preliminary information to support a better understanding of the implementation context for the Project at its onset, and in relation to key project elements.

Specifically, the baseline will:

  • Review and validate the feasibility of the assumptions in the project Theory of Change, the results framework, and the implementation plan to guide the execution of the project including the assessment of the validity and feasibility of the project indicators in determination of all the baseline values and targets at outcome and output levels;
  • To establish starting points or baselines for all indicators, suggesting revisions in their formulation if/as the need(s) emerge(s)
  • Check, review and validate the project risks and assumptions
  • To provide recommendations for the implementation of the results-based monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL) plan for the project

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Humanitarian, Conflict and Peace building Related Studies, Law, Public Policy and Management, Public Administration, Development studies, International Development, or any other relevant educational background.
  • At least Seven (7) years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and research or programme implementation in relation to livelihoods development, conflict-prevention and peacebuilding and social development, preferably in displacement context, including in Kenya.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of human rights-based approaches and engagement with women, youth and members of vulnerable/marginalized/disadvantaged groups
  • Knowledge of market-based solutions for livelihoods development, notably in displacement contexts is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in English are required.
  • Knowledge of Kiswahili and other local languages are an advantage
