IFPRI Job Vacancy 2022
Scope of work:
3 blogs signed by ministers in Ethiopia, Malawi and Nigeria country with an action plan on how to achieve the transition to healthier diets, based on the evidence and costs in the country roadmaps. Secure signatories from ministers of health, trade, agriculture, or environment.
3 national events to disseminate and commit to implementation of country roadmaps in Ethiopia, Malawi, and Nigeria.
A high-level African dialogue event with ministers of health, trade, agriculture, and environment from Ethiopia, Malawi, and Nigeria to share each country’s action plan and discuss options and priorities for achieving the transition to healthier diets, in the context of food crises, climate change, and trade disruptions.
Inputs and editorial support for country reports and policy briefs for food system transformation in Indonesia and Uganda.
Required qualifications of the team leader:
- Extensive research, policy and advocacy experience on food systems in Indonesia, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda and Nigeria, covering food security, livelihoods, nutrition, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
- Experience working with African ministers and policy makers.
- Experience in building trust and good relations with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the work done by the Ceres2030 project
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
