How can you make a difference?
Under the general supervision of the Emergency Manager, the Programme Specialist – Humanitarian Cash Transfers and Shock-Responsive Social Protection (SRSP), will build on the lessons learned from an anticipatory action pilot carried out in Kaduna State in Northwest Nigeria in 2022 by rolling out a cash preparedness initiative in Jigawa State, also in Northwest Nigeria.
Summary of key functions/accountabilities:
- Project Design and Coordination
- Monitor cash-related budgets
- Provide strategic guidance
- Ensure internal coordination and mapping
- Strengthen fundraising
Qualification & Experience:
- An Advanced University degree in one of the following fields: social sciences, public administration, international law, international relations, international development, economics, business administration, or other related disciplines is required.
- A relevant first-level university degree (Bachelor’s), plus 2 years of relevant work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience at the national and international levels in programme/project development, humanitarian cash transfers, and social protection are required.
- Previous experience with humanitarian cash transfers and/or shock-responsive social protection programming is required.
