VSO Job Vacancy 2021
Job Purpose: The Business Pursuit Lead will be responsible for growing VSO’s ability to deliver impact and influence through volunteering for development by securing funding for projects in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Sahel with the primary focus for this role being to pursue new opportunities for VSO work in Nigeria.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve ambitions annual business pursuit targets working with institutional donors, foundations, corporations and implementing partners to enable VSO to scale its programmers and impact in Nigeria by securing large grants and contrast.
- Proactively lead the development, positioning and deepening of relationships with VSO strategic and key donors (to include; UK FCDO, USAID, World Bank, EU, German GIZ & KfW, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Dutch MoFA, GAVI, Global Fund) in Nigeria Sierra Leone and the Sahel.
Qualification:
- Should be proactive, with great attention to detail and able to deal with competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Have exceptional business development skills; an ability to identify, pitch, and secure new funding partnerships whilst seeking internal buy-in.
- Experience of successfully generating funding partnerships and income via a high value audience is essential.
- Good knowledge of the donor world is essential.
